This week's topic: “That crazy trip”
Make sure that you track-back, or drop me a line, so I can manually link to your post. Or tell the story in a comment.
By previewing the device, Danger runs the risk of slowing down sales in the United States, as consumers may choose to wait to purchase the new model. However, the new model has only reached the prototype stage and has not yet been approved by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

I know this is the announcement that I've been waiting for. My hiptop is starting to show some serious wear. A few buttons take a bit of push to work, paint job is seriously fading, battery just isn't lasting as long. I could try and fight with tech support for a new one. I could spend too much money and get the color model. I think I just wait for the next version. Especially if it's 25% thinner, as the story says.
Capcom has announced "Resident Evil 4", a terrifying new chapter in the world renowned series exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube.

Not only did the clips that N8 show me look sweet, they've ditched the el-crappo camera from the older Resident Evil titles for a “Behind the camera view - Camera follows the player from behind and allows for intuitive movement.”
I found it hard to get into the other ones, and they don't make many other horror titles for the GameCube. I did like Eternal Darkness, until I played Prince of Persia and couldn't go back to the super-weak combat in ED. Though I do anticipate greatness from Silicon Knights in the future.
Too sexy, too sexy...
...special edition starts with a plain old silver GBA SP, but they’ve swapped the A and B buttons out for red ones and slapped on a black decal with grey stripes to make the GBA look much like the original NES controller.

Is driving me crazy. Dependency Walker was recommended by a website, and it looks like it will be doing the trick nicely.
Dependency Walker is a free utility that scans any 32-bit or 64-bit Windows module (exe, dll, ocx, sys, etc.) and builds a hierarchical tree diagram of all dependent modules. For each module found, it lists all the functions that are exported by that module, and which of those functions are actually being called by other modules. Another view displays the minimum set of required files, along with detailed information about each file including a full path to the file, base address, version numbers, machine type, debug information, and more.

Playing in demo stations at participating retailers, the demo serves up previews from the likes of Mario Kart: Double Dash, Metroid: Zero Mission, 007: Everything or Nothing, and NFL Street, plus a first look at Pokmon Colosseum coming March 24, 2004!

People the world over love things that have been fried:
Anyone have a guilty fried pleasure?
Update: Comment recommendations:
'Sup playa? Having much luck acquiring digits in your strategically-rusted '84 Gremlin? We thought not. Pimp My Ride will blow your doors off when we show you how to transform your tired old hatchback into a full-fledged, fully-loaded pimp chariot.

When you see what Xzibit does to these old beat-up rolling death traps, you'll want to get your ride pimped too... I wonder how much you can pimp a GTI?
I, ROBOT
Perhaps they read the back jacket of the book, and then waited a while, and forgot much of what they read, and then based a movie on that. I highly recommend the book, and I think I'm going to love the movie, but all they really share is the title and a few laws of robotics.
Once again, props to Dari, my personal link assistant.

The story: Long ago, a valiant hero defeated an evil wind demon known as Vaati and imprisoned him with a magical seal. Over the ages, the seal weakened. Now, Vaati has escaped and abducted Princess Zelda and the six Shrine Maidens. To thwart Vaati's vile forces, legendary hero Link turns to the mystical power of the Four Sword to split himself into four colored copies of himself. The four Links embark on a quest to collect Force Gems and save Princess Zelda. Their journey will take them through enemy-infested lands and puzzle-plagued dungeons.

EBGames has started taking pre-orders. But as we all know, pre-orders suck without a good bonus disk. Also on deck: Wario Ware Party, which is going to be a great party game, I think. And, as we all know, if it says Zelda on the package, I'm buying it...
Heads up props to Scot.
Think Geek is always getting better T-Shirts. Here's a few of my favs:
I think that every now and then, many blogs should all blog about the same topic, and we should call it a “blog-a-thon”.
Today's blog-a-thon topic?
“The McDonald's Guy”, whatever that means to you, and please provide a good story about him... (And track me back too...)
Update: McSwarthy Rants. And Koosh McMoose.

Really cleans up the mess of buttons that one must have to ease subscription to your feed. Also supports a lot more than anyone would do by themselves. I expect I'll try and use the scripts sometime this week, and reduce the size my “bugs” section to something more manageable. Plus I'll “fix” the coffee mug in the upper-right-hand corner of the site that is a bit confusing to most.
