Kids are funny

"What did he do to deserve that?" - Henri after being informed that it was indeed Eisenhower on the dime:

Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (October 14, 1890 – March 28, 1969), American soldier and politician, was the 34th President of the United States (1953–1961) and supreme commander of the Allied forces in Europe during World War II, with the rank of General of the Army.

Odd that keepting the Nazis from taking over the world just isn't enough, in Henri's eyes...

How about thanking Ike every time you drive on the Interstate Highway system. Without his leadership, we might still be driving on dirt.

I like Ike!

p.s. Has someone told him Jefferson is on the nickel?

I resent this.. I know all the important presidents. Didn't Mikah also say the same thing i did... and as i recall Ann is the only one who actually knew of anything Eisenhower did. Oh and at least i knew how to spell his name and didn't have to google it!

Did you? I didn't hear you suggest a spelling...

And it was Ed, who admitted his history knowledge was poor, and not Mikah who said the same thing.

Mikah said that Eisenhower didn't win WWII but Churchill did.

President Churchill? Man, I must have missed that entire American history class.

Mikah didn't say that, and since he came in on the tail end, he wasn't aware of the dime connection.
