Time to reach out to a new neighbor...

Do you know of an apartment, in the city of Alexandria, with rent under $1200, that allows a dog who weighs 50 pounds?

Or anything even close to that?

Post the results here, and the interested party will check back for your help.

Thanks in advance.

My old place fits the bill (depending on the dog breed -- no Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, etc. allowed) but trust me: if this is a friend, and they are not absolutely desperate, you don't want them living there.

I don't think a Rott fits in the "50 lb dog" category ;)

Check out a place over on Mary Caroline in Springfield or something. The landlord's name is Bull and he offers complete run of a nice sized 2 BR 2 BA place, nice shape and fully furnished with some good yuppi furniture, widescreen TV, and fully stocked kitchen for about $400 per month. It even has a Condom Vending machine on the wall in the common bathroom (but that and the owner are really the only sketchy things in the whole place), just in case.

Other than that place I haven't seen many 2 BR places for under $1200. The large house on the corner of Alfred St. and Prince St. (as well as another house 2 down from it) is actually 3 or 4 rentals and I know some are available. If you want to live in Old Town, I think the rent may be reasonable. Check it out. I will post the phone # when I get home tonight and see it.
