Oh no! Not this piece of political outrage disguised as a cartoon. I've seen this thing a few times and I honestly think it doesn't belong on the front page of the Sunday comics section. It should be on the op-ed page.

I read the comics to relax and have a laugh, and this cartoon bothers me more than the lone vegetarian who manages to get invited to that one awkward cookout every summer. "Do you know that cow had feelings?" Do I look like I give a sh*t? Now shut up and pass me the buns.

If I want to be beat over the head with someone's outrage every Sunday morning I'll watch Chris Matthews. I'd rather read Ziggy that this junk.

Maybe I haven't read enough of this comic, but it's never come off as satire to me. I've always found it to be preachy and self-indulgent to a fault. These are the people that neutered Marmaduke.
